ShoutNote is an independent, noncommercial project. I am an award-winning writer who, eons ago, interned for a (then) small record label in Seattle called Sub Pop. I am also a former editor at Mahalo.com. Though you may find occasional links to both companies, as well as many other sources related to indie bands, this site is not meant as an endorsement of anything or anyone beyond the American independent music scene and the bands that create it.
